In the RecovR for Waste Services, Construction and Generic Equipment applications exists a Dormancy Dashboard and associated alerting capabilities.

Features

Dormancy Dashboard of a List of Equipment

The Dormancy dashboard can be accessed by going to the "Equipment" page in any Location or Company and selecting "Dormancy" dashboard from the dashboard sector.

The Dormancy dashboard currently lists all equipment and includes the equipment’s "Dormancy Status", "Dormant Since" time and "Days Dormant".

Dormancy Dashboard of a Single Equipment

Once drilled into a specific piece of Equipment, users can navigate its dedicated "Dormancy" dashboard by selecting again "Dormancy" in the dashboard selector.

The Equipment Utilization graph shows valleys for periods of time that the Equipment was not In Use.

Daily Dormancy Report

Overview

This email report lists any equipment remaining inactive longer than the predetermined threshold, ensuring users are always updated on their equipment's status.

Enabling and Disabling Dormancy Daily Report

It can be managed in two places by the users:

  1. The Location "Create & Edit" form

  2. The "Alert Rules" page within a Location

The following data fields are associated:

  • Dormancy Report: "True" or "False" flag to enable or disable the Daily Dormancy Report

  • Dormancy Time Threshold: The total time an equipment shall be dormant before it is surfaced on the Daily Dormancy Report. By default it is set to 7 days if not defined.

  • Dormancy Report Email: The list of recipients emails used to send the Daily Dormancy Report. This includes non-users and disregards individual notification preferences.

Dormancy Status Calculation Logic

When a paired Locator sends a position report, the system will check the distance between the newly reported position and the previous reported position to consider if the Locator has actually moved. It is possible that a Locator reports several consecutive small movements, this case is not taken into account.

The default paired Equipment dormancy status is "In Use".

  • If the Locator has reported a position and has not moved far enough and the Equipment is "In Use", the system will set the Equipment as "Dormant" and set the Dormant Since timestamp to match the Position Reported At timestamp of the new position.

  • If the Equipment is currently "In Use" and the Locator is currently stationary and has been stationary for at least 1 hour, the system will set the Equipment as "Dormant" and set the Dormant Since timestamps to the current time.

  • If the Locator has reported a position and moved far enough (greater than the Dormancy Distance Threshold) and the Equipment is "Dormant", the system will set the Equipment as "In Use" and will clear the Dormant Since timestamp.

Alert Notifications

  • Trigger Condition: If the dormancy report feature is enabled, the report will be sent at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT every day.
