You can create a new Zone by navigating to the Zones page within a Location, clicking on the actions menu (⁝), and clicking Create Zone. If you want to assign your zones to different floors, it is optimal to create your floors first and then return to creating your zones.
Please note that if you do not have access to the Zones page or do not see the Create Zone option in the actions menu, it is because your account does not have the role(s) to be able to perform this action. Contact your Location Administrator to update your roles.
Once you click create, you will see the Zone creation tool appear on the map. You can simply left click your mouse on the map to draw points to outline the shape of your Zone. You can then click on the first point that you created to close your shape, which will illuminate the "Next" button in blue to continue.
Click Next, and then enter the requested information about your Zone: Name, Description, Type, Alert Type, RPS Enabled and Function. Then simply click Submit to create your Zone.
Type can be "Indoor" or "Outdoor".
RPS Enabled allows the use of the Zone for Assets and Tags Positioning functionality.
If you have already created different Floors you may Edit the Zone and assign the Zone to a Floor.
